The Mosaic Church Network is a loosely affiliated network of churches committed to healthy, mutually beneficial partnerships across divides of race and socio-economics in northern Lake County.
Within this network, students can find church homes, mentors, and service opportunities (including possible field education and internship credit). In addition to students serving in northern Lake County, pastors also serve on Trinity’s campus through speaking opportunities at the Mosaic Gathering, in chapel, and in the classroom. Faculty members also have the opportunity to speak at local churches, both from the pulpit and in seminars. We are God’s reconciled family, diverse in background, but united in purpose to see God’s Kingdom come.
In 2014, a group of Trinity faculty, administration, and staff along with pastors of northern Lake County traveled to Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana, guided by world renowned theologian and TEDS faculty member Dr. Tite Tiénou. This special trip expanded our minds around God’s reconciling work in other countries, educated us on important historical realities that have shaped our communities and churches, and deepened our relationships with one another. It also influenced and strengthened the Mosaic Church Network, which offers a unique context for educational formation.
