Dr. McCall works at the intersections of systematic theology with biblical, historical, and philosophical theology.  His research interests focus on the doctrines of the Trinity, Christology, hamartiology, and soteriology.

Current projects include a monograph on the doctrine of sin and an introduction to philosophical theology.  Before coming to Trinity, Dr. McCall served as pastor of churches in Michigan and Alaska.  With his wife Jenny and their four children, he enjoys a wide range of sports and outdoor activities.

Selected Publications

Dr. McCall has published articles in Philosophia Christi, the Trinity Journal, the International Journal of Systematic Theology, and the Scottish Journal of Theology, and he has contributed chapters to several edited volumes.

He is the coeditor (with Michael C. Rea) of and a contributor to Philosophical and Theological Essays on the Trinity (Oxford University Press, 2009) and the coauthor (with Keith D. Stanglin) of Jacob Arminius: Theologian of Grace (Oxford University Press, 2012). He is also the author of Which Trinity? Whose Monotheism? Philosophical and Systematic Theologians on the Metaphysics of Trinitarian Theology (Eerdmans, 2010) as well as Forsaken: The Trinity and the Cross, and Why It Matters (InterVarsity Academic, 2012), and he is a coauthor of Two Views on the Doctrine of the Trinity (Zondervan, forthcoming).
